NOEL asked Sid to crank up the KILLERWATT's transmitter just a smidge more. Our Chief Engineer obliged, saying: "Sure. But play me something from Quicksilver Messenger Service." Then, KLW's Peabody Award winning disc jockey opened his mic and all at once, the atmosphere around Signal Hill went alight, a flash of color permeating matter and space, revealing an aurora over the Gowanus Canal.
